Who searches here

A courthouse town that has always traded.

Lincolnton was drawn up around its courthouse, and for generations court days pulled farmers into town to buy and sell. The pattern never really went away. Main Street still runs straight at the 1923 courthouse, and the businesses around it still live on people who come downtown with an errand in mind.

What changed is where the errand starts. Somebody on the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail-Trail wants lunch. A family on the east side along U.S. 321 needs a plumber tonight. A newcomer in the Boger City part of town wants a dentist who takes their insurance. Each of them opens a phone first, and the business with the clearest, quickest page usually gets the visit.

That is the whole job of a Lincolnton website: answer the question fast and make calling you the obvious next step. Then local SEO and a well-kept Google profile make sure you are one of the names that shows up.

River miles

From first call to launch, four stretches.

No mystery phases and no retainer to get started. Here is the whole route.

  1. Mile 1

A phone call, not a pitch

Twenty or thirty minutes about your services, your customers and the parts of the county you cover. Roger has already looked at your current site and listing, so the call starts with specifics.

  2. Mile 2

    A page plan on paper

Before any design, you see the list of pages and what each one is meant to win: a service, a search, a question customers keep asking.

  3. Mile 3

    Written and coded here

We write the words, pick the photos with you and hand-build every page. Forms get tested on the real server before you see the draft.

  4. Mile 4

    Your review, then launch

Three rounds of changes come with every build. When you sign off, the site goes live and the domain, the words and the pages belong to your business.

Since 1780

The town, in six dates we could source.

Scroll sideways. Each date was checked against public sources such as the city's own walking tour and NCpedia.

  1. 1780

    Ramsour's Mill

A Revolutionary War battle is fought on the ground that later becomes the town.

  2. 1785

    County seat

Lincolnton is laid out on December 29 around a courthouse, with four main streets pointing out like a compass.

  3. 1813

    First mill in the state

Michael Schenck starts North Carolina's first cotton mill on the South Fork, a mile east of town.

  4. 1816

    Flood, then rebuild

High water wrecks the mill and dam. Schenck and ironworker Absalom Warlick have a bigger one running within a year.

  5. 1923

    The courthouse on Main

The Classic Revival courthouse, with Doric columns on each side, opens at the head of Main Street.

  6. 1986

    Boger City joins

The city annexes neighboring Boger City.

Fair questions

What Lincolnton owners ask first.

Is your office in Lincolnton?

No. We work from Mooresville, roughly 29 miles east along NC 150. Most projects run on phone calls, email and screen shares, and Roger will make the drive to Main Street when sitting down together would help.

Who owns the finished website?

Your business. The domain, the words, the photos and the code are yours. We host it on a plan so it stays fast and secure, but it is not rented to you.

Do you use WordPress or a site builder?

Neither. Every page is written by hand as plain, lightweight code. That keeps it quick on a phone and leaves very little that can break.

How do I get a price?

Build prices are printed on the pricing page. Search work is quoted after Roger reviews your business, and every quote is in writing before anything starts.

Meet at the square

Tell us about the business. We'll tell you what the website should do.

Drop Roger a line or ring him. Before replying he pulls your site up on his phone and weighs your listing against the competition, then sends back a straight recommendation. A written price follows only if you want one.
